Health center providing care for Shelby County residents

The Jane Pauley Community Health Center (JPCHC) is a non-profit federally qualified health center established in 2009 to provide integrated healthcare for anyone regardless of insurance status. Our federally qualified health center status allows us to offer patients who qualify a discounted rate based on our sliding-fee-scale. JPCHC was named after Jane Pauley, a 1968 Warren Central High School graduate who grew up in the area and is well known as the former anchor of NBC-TV’s “Today” and “Dateline” programs. She is the current host of “CBS Sunday Morning.”

After nine years of serving thousands of Hoosiers, JPCHC has grown to 14 sites with two more on the way. We have offices in Marion, Madison, Hancock and Shelby counties. JPCHC provides health services including family medicine, OB/GYN, behavioral health, pediatrics and dental.

JPCHC has been serving the Shelbyville community for five years, starting at Shelbyville Middle School in November 2013, and now at its current location since December 2016. Located along State Road 44, our Shelbyville office provides primary and behavioral health services for any person, regardless of their ability to pay. Currently, on staff we have Bethany Chidley, family nurse practitioner; Tessa Thorstenson, family nurse practitioner; and Abby Boston, licensed clinical social worker, with her therapy dog, Gallagher. Primary health services offered include preventative care, complete physical exams, acute care, women’s health services and chronic disease management. Also, behavioral health services include counseling, assessments and testing. If you do not have insurance, it is not a problem at all. JPCHC has trained and certified staff
