A line of cars slowly rolled through the Westar Mobile Home Park with horns honking Monday morning. While it was late enough in the morning for the parade of cars, some festooned with Hendricks Elementary School colors or cheerful posters, it did leave residents in the area curious about what was going on. SCS donates safety glasses, gloves to MHP staff
A simple question from a daughter to her father sparked a donation Monday morning to local hospital workers in need of protective equipment. Chris Lux, a Science teacher at Shelbyville High School, was recently asked by his daughter, a nurse at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis, if he had any safety goggles. Knowing the school had a supply of protective equipment, Lux then went to school board member Curt Johnson, which sparked a discussion of Major Health Partners


Halstrom brings years of experience to racing at Indiana Grand
Indiana Grand Racing needed a new leader following the death of longtime General Manager of Racing Jon Schuster near the end of 2019. So the company turned to a trusted friend. Eric Halstrom was announced as the Shelbyville race track’s new Vice President, General Manager of Racing in early February. The Shelby County Tourism and Visitors Bureau earned an award at the Indiana Tourism Awards Tuesday in Elizabeth, Indiana. Duke Energy delivers grant award for Project Lifesaver program
The Shelby County Commissioners approved a grant award check from Duke Energy Monday morning for the project lifesaver program that the county has been participating in. Jean Renk, government and community relations manager for Duke Energy, presented a check for $4,873.51 during Monday’s weekly meeting.
